This shoe is super amazing inside and out. The upper material is super breathable and gives a sock like feeling, giving the shoe extreme comfort. I like how the lacing system doesnt put too much pressure on the upper foot like most shoes. The foam midsole is honestly unlike anything I've tried before. I also really appreciate the wider toe box, truly giving my toes the opportunity to spread out and be free. I do have a suggestion in which I recommend a 1/2 size smaller due to the upper material being super flexible. I'm usually a 10.5 but for this particular shoe I think I'm a size 10 for a perfect fit. The treading is super simple and effective on road surfaces as well. Overall this is my favorite road shoe of all time!
Super comfy and amazingly versatile! Also really durable. Really impressed with this, and especially with the sustainability practices of this company and this product. These guys are kicking goal after goal!
I’ve treid my new Goshawk version 2 Men’s out on a few short runs and on a day walk so far. While I’m yet to go out and really test them on a big run, my first impressions from my shorter trips has me quite keen to do so.
I really like the quite firm fit of the heel, arch and instep areas, while the quite wide toe box is the best feature of all I think. I’m neither broadly expereinced in shoe type, nor a reviewer normally, but Tarkine's Goshawks vers 2 impressed me enough to wriote this review.
What I discovered is that the toe box design lets my toes splay out, just a little bit wider than usual, as my fore foot rolls onto the trail surface. This gives me a really noticeable sense of ‘feel’, what I think is a surer grip on the track, and thus a greater confiednce in my footing. I think the profile of the sole, and probably the materail they use to form it, add to that. It must be a little bit like running barefoot, I think.
I’m also really conscious of Tarkine’s committment to the environment and resource recovery - another important reason for me to like them.
My order was shipped within 24 hours and got to me just a very few days later - I live in regional Western Australia, a big state to reach.
I’m already looking at their online shop, wondering when their new model shoes will come out. Or I might just grab a pair of their currnt model trail shoes, cos I reckon they’ll be good.
I bought the same size runners that I wear in the major brands and it was a bit snug at first but they moulded quickly to size after 2 wears. Still plenty of room in the toebox. Have enjoyed wearing them in HIT classes and they have good cushioning / rebound in the sole.
Well-made shoe and love the look of it. I have quite a wide foot, so it was a little uncomfortable to start but have been wearing it a bit more and it's starting to stretch to fit my foot. Would suggest getting a half or full size bigger than what you would normally get though.
